Mythical Man Month Assignment

Mythical Man Month book cover

This assignment concerns the book The Mythical Man Month (MMM) by Fred Brooks, Jr.  Please read the book in its entirety, paying special attention to the issues of conceptual integrity and building and maintaining large systems.

Respond to what you've read by writing a 750-word essay that addresses the basic concern of how to be more successful when developing large software systems. Assume that your audience has already read this book, so there is no need to repeat what is given there. Provide a critical review and analysis in which you identify Brooks' main contributions (paraphrased in your own words), assess the value of the contributions, and evaluate the efficacy of his recommendations.

Include an annotation attached to the front of the artifact. The document should use professional language, be proof-read for grammar and spelling, properly indicate all direct quotes (of which there should be very few), and be typed or printed.
